01. Statutory Right of Withdrawal & 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
At Lord of BMW, operated by M Ali Zeirbani Trading Ltd (Company Registration Number HE429180, registered in the Republic of Cyprus), we strive to ensure that every BMW enthusiast, independent specialist workshop, and retail client receives automotive components of exceptional engineering precision and authentic craftsmanship.
In full compliance with Directive 2011/83/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on Consumer Rights, as well as the Consumer Rights Law of Cyprus, retail consumers purchasing products through our online catalog possess an unconditional statutory right of withdrawal. Under this legal framework, you may withdraw from the sales contract within a mandatory fourteen (14) calendar days from the date upon which you, or a third party designated by you (other than the carrier), acquired physical possession of the goods.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us of your decision to cancel the contract through an unequivocal written statement submitted via email to info@lordofbmw.com or via our registered postal address in Nicosia, Cyprus, prior to the expiration of the 14-day cancellation window.
02. Conditions for Return Eligibility
Automotive components represent precision-engineered, safety-critical mechanical and electrical assemblies. Consequently, to qualify for a full refund or merchandise exchange under our standard return policy, returned items must strictly satisfy the following technical and physical criteria:
- Uninstalled & Unused Condition: The component must never have been mounted, bolted, plugged in, wired, coded, or otherwise test-fitted to any vehicle chassis or test bench. Items showing tool marks, thread wear, witness marks, scratches, or socket scoring cannot be accepted for refund.
- Pristine Original Packaging: Products must be returned in their original manufacturer packaging, complete with all internal protective molded inserts, anti-static shielding bags, foam cushioning, security tape, barcoded labels, and factory seals intact and undamaged.
- Zero Automotive Fluid Contamination: Components must be entirely free from contact with gasoline, diesel fuel, engine oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, coolant/antifreeze, grease, or chemical cleaning solvents.
- Complete Accessories & Documentation: All accompanying hardware packs, O-rings, mounting brackets, calibration certificates, installation manuals, and warranty documentation must be enclosed in pristine condition.
Items returned in a condition indicating use or diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods will be subject to a proportional value reduction deduction or rejected entirely.
03. Non-Returnable & Excluded Inventory
Pursuant to Article 16 of EU Directive 2011/83/EU and standardized automotive trade safety practices, certain specialized product categories are strictly excluded from the right of withdrawal and cannot be returned for refund or credit:
- Programmed, Coded, or Registered Electronic Control Units (ECUs): Digital engine management computers (DME/DDE), transmission control units (TCU), infotainment/iDrive modules, and CAS/FEM/BDC body modules that have been coded, VIN-locked, or initialized with vehicle-specific software.
- Electrical & Sensor Components with Broken Anti-Tamper Seals: Oxygen sensors (O2 sensors), mass air flow (MAF) meters, MAP sensors, fuel injectors, ignition coils, and high-pressure fuel pumps where the factory sealed protective bag has been opened or breached.
- Custom-Ordered, Bespoke, or Non-Stock Special Imports: Components specifically manufactured, custom-welded, upholstered, or imported from Germany upon individual customer commission (e.g., custom carbon fiber steering wheels, bespoke exhaust fabrication, individual-order M Performance trim).
- Digital Software Licenses & Flash Tuning Files: Downloadable software calibration maps, transmission flash licenses (e.g., xHP), diagnostic software activations, and electronic activation tokens once delivered.
- Clearance, Liquidation, or "As-Is" Outlet Items: Products explicitly categorized on our portal as final clearance, discontinued stock, or cosmetic B-stock at the time of purchase.
04. Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Workflow
To guarantee smooth tracking, technical inspection, and swift financial settlement, no return package will be accepted at our Nicosia logistics hub without an active, officially issued Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Number.
Email our support team at info@lordofbmw.com including your original Order Number, Part SKU, reason for return, and clear digital photographs illustrating the unopened, pristine condition of the product and packaging.
Our technical team will review the request within 24 to 48 business hours. Upon approval, you will receive an official RMA Confirmation Document containing your unique RMA reference code and designated warehouse receiving instructions.
Package the item securely inside a rigid outer shipping carton (double-boxing protocol). Prominently affix the RMA document to the inside of the package, and write the RMA number clearly on the outer shipping label (never write directly on the OEM manufacturer product box).
Upon receipt at our Nicosia distribution center, our quality technicians conduct a physical bench verification. Following successful inspection, your refund or exchange is processed within 5 to 10 business days.
05. Shipping Responsibilities & Secure Packaging Standards
Allocation of freight and transport expenses for returned merchandise is structured according to the originating cause of the return:
Customer Remorse, Ordering Errors & Discretionary Returns: Where a customer exercises their statutory right of withdrawal or returns a part due to personal preference or ordering the incorrect chassis specification without prior technical verification, the buyer bears full legal and financial responsibility for return freight shipping costs. We strongly recommend using a reputable express courier service (DHL Express, FedEx, UPS, or national tracked postal services) with full tracking and transit insurance corresponding to the full retail value of the shipment. Lord of BMW accepts zero liability for parcels lost, damaged, or pilfered in transit.
Verified Dispatch Errors or Defective Goods: If you receive an incorrect component due to a warehouse picking error on our part, or if an item arrives damaged in transit from the carrier, Lord of BMW will provide a prepaid courier return label or reimburse standard tracked return postage costs upon verification.
06. Technical Warehouse Inspection & Restocking Fees
All returned consignments undergo a thorough 48-hour bench inspection by our parts specialists to verify authenticity, serial numbers, security markings, and absence of installation wear.
For discretionary returns accepted within the 14-day window where the manufacturer box has sustained minor cosmetic handling damage or requires warehouse re-boxing and re-labeling, an administrative restocking fee of up to 15% of the product purchase price may be deducted from the final refund amount. Refunds are credited exclusively via the original payment method utilized during order placement (e.g., Stripe card reversal or PayPal balance refund) within 5 to 10 business days following inspection clearance.
07. Manufacturer OEM & Aftermarket Warranty Coverage
Lord of BMW stands firmly behind the engineering quality of the automotive products distributed through our platform. All genuine OEM BMW replacement components and certified aftermarket performance brands carry comprehensive manufacturer warranty protection against material flaws and manufacturing defects:
- Genuine OEM BMW Components: Backed by a standard twenty-four (24) month manufacturer defect warranty from the date of invoice.
- Certified Aftermarket & Performance Upgrades: Backed by a minimum twelve (12) month warranty (or extended warranty terms as specifically stipulated by individual brands such as Bilstein, Brembo, CSF, Wagner Tuning, and FTP Motorsport).
Warranty protection is restricted strictly to the replacement or repair of the defective component itself and does not cover labor charges, diagnostic diagnostic fees, vehicle towing costs, rental car expenses, or loss of vehicle utilization.
08. Warranty Claim Procedures & Defect Verification
To initiate a formal warranty evaluation for a suspected defective part, the customer must submit an exhaustive technical claim portfolio including:
- Copy of the original sales invoice and matching part serial number.
- Official commercial invoice from an accredited automotive repair facility or certified BMW technician confirming professional installation.
- Detailed technical diagnostic readout, including OBD2 fault codes (DTC), live diagnostic data logs, and certified technician's diagnostic commentary detailing the nature of the malfunction.
- High-resolution digital photographs and video documentation clearly demonstrating the installed component and the observed defect.
Upon preliminary review, the component must be returned to our facility for metallurgical and operational bench testing or forwarded directly to the manufacturer's technical assessment department in Germany. If a defect in craftsmanship or materials is verified, a brand-new replacement unit will be dispatched without charge, or a full credit note issued.
09. Warranty Exclusions & Void Conditions
Warranty coverage is immediately rendered null and void under any of the following operational conditions:
- Improper Installation & Incorrect Torque: Damage resulting from amateur installation, stripped threads, over-torquing, overtightened fittings, reverse electrical polarity, or failure to follow BMW TIS factory repair instructions.
- Motorsport, Track & Competitive Racing: Parts subjected to closed-circuit track days, competitive racing, time trials, drift events, dyno shootouts, or abusive driving conditions.
- Unauthorized Modifications & Disassembly: Components that have been opened, modified, drilled, welded, re-pinned, painted, or altered from their original factory delivered specification.
- Fluid Incompatibility & Foreign Contamination: Fuel, oil, or cooling system components damaged by contaminated fluids, incorrect fluid viscosity, dry cranking, particulate ingress, or lack of proper flushing prior to installation.
- Extreme ECU Tuning & Overboosting: Engine, turbocharger, or drivetrain components operated beyond factory manufacturer tolerances due to aggressive aftermarket engine calibrations, high-octane race blends, or nitrous injection.
10. International Returns & Cyprus Customs Declarations
For customers returning parcels from non-EU destinations (including the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, United States, and Middle Eastern jurisdictions), strict customs compliance is necessary to avoid unwarranted import duties at the Cyprus frontier.
When preparing international customs declarations (CN22 / CN23 / Commercial Customs Invoice), you must explicitly describe the consignment as: "RETURNED GOODS FOR TECHNICAL ASSESSMENT & WARRANTY EVALUATION — ORIGINATING FROM CYPRUS — COMMERCIAL VALUE FOR CUSTOMS PURPOSES ONLY". The original export airway bill number and invoice number must be stated on the customs paperwork. Failure to follow these declaration protocols may result in customs duties assessed by Cyprus Customs; any such duties will be deducted directly from the customer's refundable balance or the consignment refused.
